Feyenoord are ready to finalize a deal to release Arne Slot to take over as Liverpool’s new manager within the next 48 hours.
Talks between the two teams will continue on Friday. There is an expectation at the Danish club that those discussions will reach a positive conclusion. After Slot himself publicly revealed his desire to manage the Reds on Thursday night.
Reliable sources believe an agreement will be reached this weekend.
Feyenoord want a minimum compensation of £8.6m to release Slot from his contract.
The Dutch club are trying to force Liverpool to pay him €10m (£8.58m). An amount that does not include the staff that will follow him to England.
The two teams have yet to come to an agreement on Slot transfer fee. Promotion ufabet but sources confirm that an agreement is not far off.
Slot wants to bring his assistant Zipke Hulshoff to Anfield as well. And there could be another member of the Feyenoord staff, expected to be head of operations Ruben Peters. Bringing the total compensation to nearly £13 million.
However, Feyenoord does not want Slot to lead the entire team when he moves to the Premier League. And will stand by the efforts of Slots and Liverpool to bring several staff members from the Dutch club to Merseyside.
