Bayern Munich’s French striker Mathis Tel has changed his mind in mid-air, agreed to join Tottenham Hotspur and is heading to London.

Tottenham Hotspur had previously agreed a £50million deal with Bayern Munich on Friday. But the 19-year-old striker promptly rejected the chance to join Ange Postecoglou’s side amid interest from a number of clubs.
However, with the winter transfer window approaching its final hours and no progress on an agreement in sight. Mathis Tel has decided to change his mind and accept Tottenham Hotspur’s offer.
A representative for Tel confirmed the news by posting a photo on Instagram of her boarding a private plane at around 1:30 p.m. German time.
Tel moved from Rennes to Bayern in the summer of 2022 for a fee of €28.5 million plus add-ons. And signed a contract extension until 2029 in March last year.
Last season, Tel scored 10 goals in 41 games in all competitions as a substitute for Harry Kane. But this season he has yet to score his first goal in 14 games in all competitions, playing as a substitute again.
